We're here to help
Databases, delivery and development are our three core services to our members, but that's not all we do! Some of our other popular services include:
Photocopying
Public libraries may request 7,000 copies free of charge; beyond 7,000, a sliding fee scale by population is implemented, with fees ranging from a low of $.012 cents to a high of $.05 cents per page.
The fee scale by population group is:
- Pop. Group I: 0 -5000:
$.0112/page (offsets cost of printing only) - Pop. Group II: 5000 - 10,000:
$.02/page - Pop. Group III: 10,000 - 25,000:
$.035/page - Pop. Group IV: Over 25,000:
$.05/page (offsets entire cost to CMRLS; printing, supplies, and labor)

CD/DVD repair
CD and DVD disk repair service is available to CMRLS member libraries and libraries that are members of other Massachusetts Regional Library Systems.
CMRLS offers disk buffing service at $3.00 per disk for CMRLS member libraries and $4.00 per disk for libraries that are members of other Massachusetts Regional Library Systems. The VenMill© Buffer is expected to repair 85% of damaged disks. Unsuccessful repairs will, of course, be free of charge.
How it works:
Libraries will let us know they are sending disks - and how many - via the web form. After submitting the form, a printable confirmation page is displayed.
Send the disks and a copy of the confirmation page to CMRLS, attn: Disk Repair.
Libraries will be billed by the job. If a disk is not adequately repaired when returned, make a note on the invoice and deduct the charge from your bill.

Ellison dies and machines
CMRLS owns the regular-size and extra-large Ellison Die Cut Machines. We have a huge assortment of dies - and two alpahabets - available. Come in anytime we are open to cut shapes for bulletin boards, crafts, or other projects. Check out the full list of dies! (pdf, 2 pages)
Professional collection
We maintain a collection of professional materials to help you with everything from storytime to space planning, cataloging to collection development, and everything in between. Our books are cataloged in CW/MARS and can be requested via interlibrary loan.
CMRLS services are provided through state funds administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
