Trends in academic libraries

The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) has released the 2009 Strategic Thinking Guide for Academic Librarians in the New Economy. (pdf, 8 pages) The guide highlights trends that are driving academic library services, and offers strategic questions for libraries to use to assess their courses of action.

John Dupuis, Head of the Steacie Science & Engineering Library at York University in Toronto has compiled a list of twenty-nine reports about the future of academic libraries. You can find the full list on his "Confessions of a Science Librarian" blog.
