Go green at your library and
tnk grEn - 2010 Summer Reading!

It's cold and wintry out but summer is coming fast! Start your planning with important links on this page. Watch this space for breaking news and updated information. It's going to be a fun summer!

Submit your Ellison requests ASAPgraphic of an exclamation point

If your library uses our Ellison dies to prepare crafts, displays or bulletin boards for summer reading programs, please request the ones you will be using immediately. We anticipate that we will disband our die collection and distribute them out to libraries sometime later this spring. If there is anything AT ALL that you want to cut out, please request your dies now!

It's not too early to request fall/holiday dies so you can cut those items too! Once the collection is disbanded, it may be difficult or impossible to find the ones you want.

The link to the Ellison die form is:

http://www.cmrls.net/forms/die_request.htm

Don't forget to request a machine if you need to borrow one.

Please contact Maureen Ambrosino at CMRLS, 508-757-4110 x309, if you have any questions.

This year, the summer reading manual will be online, as a wiki. Check out this web page for great program ideas, crafts, booklists and more. If you have ideas, websites, or other content to share, contact Maureen Ambrosino at CMRLS to find out how to contribute to the wiki.

Promotion

A toolkit to help promote the 2010 Summer Reading Program will be posted in the spring on the MBLC website. Stay tuned for details!

The ordering site for Janway incentives is now up and running. Based on your feedback, we have banners, mood pencils, book packs and water bottles, plus teen incentives, a shirt with an adult-friendly design, and much more! If you wish to order large quantities of paper materials for prizes, you can also order those on the Janway site.

Incentive orders were due by the end of the day on February 5, 2010. If you did not place your order by the deadline, contact Janway to see if you can still order the items you want.

ReadsinMAreadsinma.org splash page

If you're not currently using our online reading program, ReadsinMA.org, it's not too late! Over 35,000 patrons across the state used it last summer, and many libraries have done successful fall and winter programs with it. Adults and kids alike really enjoy it. Contact Maureen Ambrosino at CMRLS for more information.
